Most Impressive Statues around the World

We can realize that statues have been created all over the world to represent everything from religious deities, historical events to influential people. The statue of the Little Mermaid in Denmark, the statues of lions on the island of Delos in Greece, the Mother Russia statue, the statue of David in Italy and the Statue of Liberty in New York are named as some of the most impressive statues around the world. Each of them has its own message, beauty, style and etc.

Located near Mykonos, the island of Delos is one among the most important mythological, historical and archaeological areas in Greece. The terrace of the nine lions creates a monumental avenue comparable to Egyptian avenues of sphinxes. Only seven of the original lions remain now.

Also named as “The Motherland Calls”, The Mother Russia statue is a well-known statue to commemorate the Battle of Stalingrad in Mamayev Kurgan, Volgograd, Russia. It is the highest statue in the world with 85 meters high.
