In our studio, we craft South Korean journeys that oscillate between high-velocity modernism and the profound stillness of the peninsula’s ancient corners.
We begin in Seoul’s Euljiro district, a labyrinth of metalworking shops and printing presses that transforms at dusk into a neon-lit social hub. Here, tucked between industrial machinery, you’ll find "hip-jiro" bars where the city’s creative energy is at its most raw and unpolished. From the gritty urban core, we retreat to the Bukchon Hanok Village, staying in a restored traditional home where the scent of aged wood and the geometric beauty of tiled roofs offer a serene sanctuary above the city’s hum.
The journey then moves to the Boseong tea plantations, where the landscape is sculpted into emerald terraces that roll toward the southern coast. Walking through the rows in the early morning mist, you gain a sense of the pace of Korean rural life. This stillness is deepened in Andong’s Hahoe Folk Village, where the Nakdong River curves around living history; here, watching a traditional mask dance provides a window into a folk heritage that has remained unbroken for centuries.
We conclude the experience in the Suncheon Bay Wetlands, a vast, golden expanse of reed beds and migratory bird sanctuaries. As the sun sets over the S-shaped curves of the tidal flats, the intensity of the city fades into an elemental peace. The final days are spent indulging in Namdo cuisine, famous for its complexity and abundance, ensuring the trip ends with a sensory richness that mirrors the diversity of the Korean landscape.
How would you imagine your trip in South Korea?
The stories that transform a South Korea trip from tourism into understanding.
Korean fermentation is a living tradition. Gochujang, doenjang and ganjang - the holy trinity of Korean flavour - are aged for years in earthenware onggi pots. In Seoul's traditional neighbourhoods, entire rooftops are still devoted to this slow alchemy.
'Han' is an untranslatable Korean concept - a collective sorrow, resilience and yearning born of centuries of hardship. It infuses the country's music, art and cuisine. Understanding han is understanding why Korean culture moves people so deeply.
Noraebangs - private karaoke rooms - are not a tourist attraction but a genuine social ritual. Koreans sing to connect, celebrate and release. To spend an evening in one, surrounded by friends and shared plates of anju, is to understand a core strand of Korean social life.

What a Camelia South Korea day looks like
Start your day with a golden Soboro-ppang from a local baker before heading to Seoul's grandest palace. Arrive at Gyeongbokgung before the crowds, when guards in ceremonial robes perform the reenactment of Joseon Dynasty guard training, and the courtyards hold a rare, cathedral-like hush.
A slow walk through the preserved hanok district, where 600-year-old tile-roofed houses sit on narrow lanes. Beyond the historic facades, a new generation of artisans and designers has transformed these ancient spaces into some of Seoul's most sophisticated boutiques.
A deep immersion into the culinary philosophy of the Joseon era, where you dine in a serene hanok on dishes once reserved for royalty. Every course is anchored by jang (fermented pastes) aged for years in clay jars, creating a complex, living flavour profile that changes with the micro-seasons.
Spend an afternoon in Seoul's historic artisan district, home to 90% of the city's traditional stationery shops and nearly half of its antique galleries. You can browse specialised hanji paper studios, visit small galleries showcasing local artists, and rest in traditional tea houses where it is standard to remove your shoes and sit on floor cushions with a pot of medicinal or fruit tea.
Move from a rooftop terrace overlooking the Namsan Tower skyline to a high-end underground kitchen in Gangnam. Whether it's a neon-lit outdoor lounge or a private "chef’s table" in a modern basement, these venues capture the energy of Seoul's nightlife and its contrast between historic landmarks and sleek urban design.
